The prayer of the petitioner in this case reads as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is prayed that this Hon'ble High Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate Writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents in not completing the investigation and filing charge sheet including impounding the passport of the 4th respondent, who is accused in Crime No.420 of 2019 on the file of Meerpet Police Station, Ranga Reddy District as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to conduct investigation and file the charge sheet against the accused and also impound the passport of the 4th respondent forthwith and to pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Curt may deem fit and proper.'

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that based on the complaint dated 17.06.2019, the official respondents have registered FIR.No.420 of 2019 on the file of the Meerpet Police Station, Ranga Reddy District, and the same is under investigation. Since four months have elapsed from the date of registration of the complaint, the authorities are directed to expedite the investigation in the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
