This Writ Petition is filed to declare the action of respondent Nos. 2 to 5 in trying to grant quarry lease for Limestone Slabs (Black) in S.No. 149 of Meerapuram Village, Banaganapalli Mandal, Kurnool District, in favour of respondent Nos. 6 and 7 as illegal and arbitrary.

Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology passed on a brief note of the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Banaganapalle, Kurnool-respondent No. 4, according to which the quarry lease application of respondent Nos. 6 and 7 has been rejected by proceedings dated 14-03-2016.

In view of rejection of the application of respondent Nos. 6 and 7, no further orders are necessary in the Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence. ___________________________ KONGARA VIJAYA LAKSHMI, J.
