Today when the matter is called for hearing, none appeared for petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Corporation submits that the writ petition is filed seeking a direction to pay disability compensation and that during pendency of the above writ petition, on 31.08.2006, the respondent authorities paid the same to a sum of Rs.58,705/- to the petitioner and that the cause in the above writ petition does not survive for adjudication. In view of the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ Petition shall stand closed.
