THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE SMT. JUSTICE T. RAJANI WRIT PETITION No.30161 of 2017 ORDER: (Per VRS,J) The application of the petitioner for appointment to the post of District Judge was not accepted, on the ground that she did not produce proof of age as required by the notification. Therefore, she is before us.

2.

Heard Mr. A. Sreedhar, learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

As per the notification issued by the Registry, the application form should be accompanied by the proof of age in the form of secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent certificate. But unfortunately, the petitioner did not enclose the secondary school leaving certificate.

4.

Even today, the petitioner has enclosed two certificates, one purporting to be the memorandum of marks in SSLC and another purporting to be the age certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations. The statement of marks in SSLC produced before this Court (not produced along with the application) does not contain the date of birth of the petitioner. But, the age certificate indicates the date of birth, with an endorsement that the same is reproduced from the SSLC records. We do not know how

2 VRS,J & TR, J WP No.30161 of 2017 such an age certificate, which does not correlate to any entry in the secondary school leaving certificate, would now be accepted. Therefore, the respondents are right in rejecting the application of the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs. __________________________ V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN, J ____________ T. RAJANI, J.
