Heard the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public prosecutor who is representing respondent No.1. Having regard to the limited relief sought for, notice to respondent No.2 is felt not necessarSr.

Seeking to quash the proceedings that are pending against the petitioner who is arrayed as accused No.2 in SC.No. 14 of 2Ol8 that is pending on the file of the Court of Special Judge for trial of cases under SCs/STs (pOA) Act, Ranga District at L.B.Nagar, the present Criminal Petition is filed.

l,earned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is arrayed as accused No.2 in SC.No. 14 of 2O18 that is pending on the file of the Court of Special Judge for trial of cases under SCs/STs (pOA) Act, Ranga District at L.B.Nagar, and indeed, the petitioner has not committed arg rcffence and a false case was foisted against him.

Learned Assistant public prosecutor reported no objection for passing such order.

5. A perusal of record reveals that the case was registered in t].e year 2olz and the charge sheet was laid the year 2}tg. It is a_lso 1n clear that since then, the petitioner is facing criminal proceedings. Therefore, this Court considers that there is justification in the relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner. Resultaltly, the Criminal petition is disposed of with the following direction: _ The Court of Special Judge for trial of cases under SCs/STs (pOA) Act, Ranga District at L.B.Nagar is directed to dispose of S.C.No. 14 of 2018 that is pending on the file of the said Court within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
