HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 33636 of 2012 Order:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the respondents in registering FIR No.750 of 2012 of Jeedimetla Police Station, Cyberabad, against the petitioners for the offence punishable under Section 3(x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of instructions, submits that the petitioners have filed Criminal Petition No.3935 of 2013 challenging the FIR No.750 of 2012 and this Court passed orders on 29.04.2013 quashing the FIR. Subsequently, after obtaining the permission from the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, a final report, dated 31.08.2013, was filed before the VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad, at Medchal, referring the case as 'Action Dropped', vide FR No.84 of 2013, after giving notice to the complainant.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in the Writ Petition and the Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

4. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
