THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY CRIMINAL PETITION No.12821 of 2016 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos.1 and 3 in Crime No.167 of 2016 on the file of the Station House Officer, Khammam I Town Police Station, registered for the offences under Section 420 IPC and Section 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

At the time of hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the Police after investigating into the matter filed the charge sheet before the concerned Court. In view of the submission made by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, the purpose of filing of the criminal petition has become infructuous.

Hence, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
