Mohammed Aslam, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the present Criminal Petition, when this court expressed that the fact-situation occurring herein does not warrant recording compromise and does not fall within the guidelines laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab1.

Permission is accorded.

The Criminal Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the petition, stand disposed of.
