THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.38244 of 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition, under Article 226 of Constitution of India, is filed seeking to issue a direction to impound the passport bearing No.G7259922 of one Changanti Chandra Reddy, who is A1 in FIR No.784 of 2015, on the file of Station House Officer, Kushaiguda Police Station, Hyderabad.
The case of the petitioner is that he filed an application before the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action to ensure the presence of one Chaganti Chandra Reddy, who is residing in USA, since he is arrayed as A1 in FIR No.784 of 2015 and charge sheet is also filed against said Chandra Reddy and others for the offences under sections 498-A and 323 IPC and 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The main grievance of the petitioner is that he filed an application under RTI before the 2nd respondent as to what action has been taken on the application submitted by him to impound the passport of said Chandra Reddy, and the 2nd respondent informed through order, dated 23.08.2016, that the application of the petitioner was not considered since there is no court direction. Therefore, the petitioner filed this writ petition.
After hearing the petitioner and after perusing the record, this Court is of the view that no orders are required from this Court to the 2nd respondent to pass any orders on the application filed by the petitioner to impound the passport of said Chandra Reddy. Hence, this Court is not inclined to pass any orders in this writ petition.

In any event, considering the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
