THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. SUNIL CHOWDARY CRIMINAL PETITION No.9259 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioner / A.1 in C.C.No.2 of 2011 on the file of the Court of the Special Judge for CBI cases, Visakhapatnam.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri D. Gopinath the learned Special Standing Counsel for CBI. At the time of arguments, the only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner is to direct the trail Court to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioner seeking discharge as expeditiously as possible. The learned Special Standing Counsel for CBI also consented for the same.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the main case.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned counsel for the parties, the trail Court is hereby directed to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioner/A.1, seeking discharge, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
