ORDER

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners - A.1 to A.4, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.118 of 2016 of Chilakaluripet Town Police Station, Guntur District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 509 IPC and Section 4(r)(s) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners - A.1 to A.4 and learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.

3. As seen from the complaint, there are certain allegations against the petitioners. Truth or otherwise of the allegations made in the complaint can be ascertained by the investigating agency during the course of investigation. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to interfere at this stage. However, the police concerned are directed to proceed with investigation without arresting the petitioners - A.1 to A.4. The petitioners - A.1 to A.4 are directed to appear before the investigating agency, as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
