W.P.No.29195/2017 HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE V. RAMASUBRAMANI AN HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE ABHI NAND KUMAR SHAVI LI WRI T PETI TI ON No.29195 of 2017 ORDER: (Per VRS,J) The 1st petitioner, who belongs to the Muslim minority community on account of which she is entitled to be treated as a candidate belonging to BC-E in the quota reserved for such candidates, has come up with the above writ petition challenging the action of the university in not granting her the benefit of reservation.

2. Heard Mr. S.M. Subhan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Taddi Nageswara Rao, learned counsel appearing for the University.

3. Unfortunately in the application that the petitioner filed, she indicated her caste category as "OC". This was despite the 1st petitioner belonging to the Muslim community. Therefore, there was no fault on the part of the University.

4. Now the last date for admission for the current academic year is also already over. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as no relief can be granted to the petitioners.

5. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________________ V. RAMASUBRAMANI AN, J.
