ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "...to issue a writ order or direction and more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to allot a house-site to the petitioner under the scheme to allot house-sites to freedom fighters by fixing a time limit and pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper under the circumstances of the case." The contention of the petitioner is that he is a freedom fighter and he was granted the freedom fighter pension by the Central Government. Now he is claiming for allotment of house site under the freedom fighter pension scheme. Admittedly, the petitioner is a native of Nalgonda District.

According to him, as he was shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment, he seeks to allot a plot in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy District but not in Nalgonda District. This Court vide interim order, dated 15.04.2007 directed the authorities to consider the request of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders. The respondents have filed a memo dated 04.09.2008 stating that the petitioner can apply for house plot only in Nalgonda District and not in Ranga Reddy District and his representation for allotment of house site in Ranga Reddy District dated 22.03.2007 was rejected.

Since the request of the petitioner has been specifically rejected vide memo dated 04.09.2008, no further orders need be passed in the present writ petition. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that liberty may be given to the writ petitioner to make a fresh representation to the concerned

authorities of Nalgonda District and the same may be directed to be considered.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation afresh to the concerned authorities of Nalgonda District for allotment of house site and on filing such representation, the same may be considered in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this petition shall stand closed.
