Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Forests appearing for the respondents. 2.
Petitioner is aggrieved by the delay in not completing the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him. On 22.01.2016, articles of charges were drawn and communicated to the petitioner. Petitioner filed explanation to the said charges. According to petitioner, there is no further progress in the enquiry. 3.
Learned Government Pleader for Forests, on instructions, submits that enquiry officer was appointed and enquiry is in progress. However, there is no satisfactory explanation as to why for more than 21⁄2 years, disciplinary action is not completed. 4.
Since the charge sheet is dated 22.01.2016, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
