ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue an order or writ one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the respondents in not considering my representation dt.15.11.2001 and not complying the orders of the Court in W.P.No.11522/2002, dt.27.06.2002 appointing the petitioner to the post of Record Assistant or Attender in St.Peter's High School run under the control of the 3rd respondent as arbitrary, illegal, unjust and unconstitutional and pass such other order or orders as may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."
Heard learned counsel on either side.
It is the case of the petitioner that his father was appointed as Gardner-cum-Sweeper in the 4th respondentSchool in the year 1966 and subsequently, promoted to the post of Attender. While so, his father expired on 31.10.2001. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.11.2001 to the 4th respondent to consider his case for appointment on compassionate grounds. But, so far no orders have been passed thereon.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds.
Having considered the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds, in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
