THE HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.19876 OF 2017 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the following relief: "to issue writ or directions more particularly in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not receiving the representation made by the petitioner for providing additional loads of electricity by installing individual meters to the subject apartment of the petitioners in plot No.111 in Sy.No.11/11, 11/12 and 11/13 situated at Khanamet village, Serlingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, as illegal, arbitrary, high handed, violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to provide additional loads of electricity by installing individual meters to the subject apartment of the petitioner in plot No.111 in Sy.No.11/11, 11/12 and 11/13 situated at Khanamet Village, Serlingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Hyderabad - 500081 forthwith, in accordance with general terms of power supply and pass such of the order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned standing counsel Sri R.Vinod Reddy, on behalf of respondents 1 to 4 and Sri S.Prabhakar Reddy, the learned standing counsel from the oral instructions representing the 5th respondent and perused the prayer in the writ petition
with supporting affidavit of the 3rd respondent on behalf of respondents 1 to 4.

From the very prayer, it is not giving of any new connection, but for additional load. Needless to say, once there is a service connection provided, subject to occupancy certificate to be produced there is no prohibition to provide the additional load required if any.

Having regard to the above, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the providing of additional load and pass appropriate orders within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in this case shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
