This criminal petition is filed for quash of the proceedings in Cr.No.234 of 2011, against the petitioners, who are A3 to A6, on the file of the Station House Officer, III Town Police Station, Nizamabad. The offences alleged are under Sections 498A, 494, 109, 323 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The learned Public Prosecutor produced a letter addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Nizamabad III Town Police Station, Nizamabad District dated 17.09.2018 stating that the case has been compromised outside Court on 21.11.2016 and that final report will be filed before the concerned Court.

In the light of the above, this Court opines that continuation of further proceedings against the petitioners would only result in abuse of process of law.

The criminal petition is allowed and the proceedings in Cr.No.234 of 2011, against the petitioners, who are A3 to A6, on the file of the Station House Officer, III Town Police Station, Nizamabad, are hereby quashed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
