Learned Standing Counsel representing 2nd respondent - Society informs the Court that the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.08.2016 and, by the time the petitioner retired from service, no steps were taken, therefore, cause in the Writ Petition does not survive.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
