The grievance of the petitioner was that the police authorities were calling him to the police station everyday and harassing him to settle his disputes with the 2nd respondent.

By order dated 29.10.2012, this Court directed the police authorities not to interfere with the petitioner's life and liberty except in accordance with law.

Despite passage of nearly three years since the institution of this writ petition, no counter-affidavit has been filed. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the police authorities not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner, in the event his examination is warranted in the course of any criminal investigation or if he is involved in any criminal activity, except in accordance with the due procedure laid down by law. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs. ____________________
