This writ petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents in continuing the Look-Out-Circular (LOC) proceedings, initiated at the instance of the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, in connection with C.C.No.346 of 2017 on the file of the learned Junior Civil Judge-cum-VII Metropolitan Magistrate, Hayathnagar, Rachakonda, Ranga Reddy District. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.1238 of 2019 on 23.07.2019 for release of interim custody of the passport and the said application is pending consideration before the learned VII Metropolitan Magistrate and the same was adjourned to 01.11.2019. He would further submit that since the LOC proceedings initiated against the petitioner have not been renewed, they have lapsed, and therefore, the respondents may be directed to release the passport to the petitioner.

In the light of the aforestated submission, the learned VII Metropolitan Magistrate, Hayathnagar, Rachakonda, Ranga Reddy District, is directed to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.1238 of 2019, after ascertaining as to whether the LOC proceedings initiated against the petitioner are in subsistence by way of renewal or have lapsed, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
