ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not paying wages to the members of the petitionerUnion, who are working in Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (V Stage), on par with those engaged in Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project and Vijayawada Thermal Power Station as illegal and arbitrary.

When this writ petition was filed, all the above-mentioned Thermal Stations were under the administrative control of respondent No.1. With effect from 02.06.2014, a separate Generation Corporation was constituted for the State of Telangana consequent on its formation. Therefore, the petitioner cannot seek payment of wages on par with the contract labour working in the Thermal Stations belonging to a corporate entity belonging to a different State altogether. In view of these changed circumstances, no relief can be granted to the

petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.

As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, WP.M.P.No.2677 of 2009 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
