Petitioners complain the action of respondents 3 and 4 in calling them to Police Station without there being any complaint or case registered against them.

The instructions of learned Government Pleader for Home show that Crime No.143 of 2014 is pending against the petitioners and two others which was initially registered as a girl missing case, but later altered to Sections 366A, 341, 376(2) I.P.C., and Section 5(1) read with 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenders Act, 2012. The instructions further show that the petitioners have found involved as per the statement of the victim girl recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. and presence of the petitioners is necessary for investigation in the matter.

In view of the above, since crime as aforesaid is stated to be pending against the petitioners, the relief as sought for in the Writ Petition cannot be granted to them. However, the petitioners are at liberty to take appropriate steps with regard to the said crime registered against them.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
