Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development appearing for the respondents.

By order dated 19.12.2017, the Commissioner/Director of Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment imposed punishment of stoppage of annual grade increment with cumulative effect. Aggrieved thereby, petitioner preferred appeal, dated 29.12.2017. Alleging inaction on the said appeal, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.

Since the petitioner has already preferred appeal on 29.12.2017, acknowledged on 30.12.2017, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the appellate authority to consider the appeal dated 29.12.2017 filed by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
