THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.32744 of 2014 ORDER:

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under:- "...to issue a writ or order/s more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents no.4 to 6 in interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioners without due process of law, as being illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India; and for a consequential direction to the respondents no.4 to 7 not to keep surveillance on the petitioners and not to summon them to the police station without due process of law; and be pleased to pass such other order/s as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." 3.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 placed on record the written instructions issued by the 7th respondent.

4.

From a perusal of the said written instructions, it is revealed that as per the records, two cases i.e., Crime No.486 of 2012 for the offences under Sections 447, 427 and 506 IPC and Crime No.401 of 2013 for the offences under Sections 447 and 506 IPC were registered on the file of the Dundigal Police Station against the petitioners herein and others. After investigation, charge sheets were also filed before the concerned Court. It is also mentioned in the written instructions that no fresh cases are pending or registered against the petitioners on the date of issuance of the written instructions. It is specifically mentioned that except registration of the above mentioned two crimes and filing of charge sheets against the petitioners as contemplated

under law, the 7th respondent never interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioners herein.

5.

In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition and the same is liable to be closed.

6.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ P. KESHAVA RAO, J 26th December 2019 mar
