Petitioner was placed under suspension by order dated 14.03.2017 by the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank. Against the order of Chairman, appeal shall lie to the Board of the respondent-Bank under Regulation 49 r/w. Regulation 50 of the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (Officers and Employees) Service Regulations, 2010. Without availing the remedy of appeal provided in service regulations, this writ petition is filed.

Except for stating that there is no other alternative remedy, there is no other averment, as to why the petitioner has not exhausted the remedy of appeal. It cannot be said that the said remedy is not effective and efficacious, in order to enable the petitioner to directly invoke the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Without exhausting the said remedy of appeal, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition, since petitioner has effective and efficacious remedy of appeal available under Service regulations. 4.

Thus, the writ petition is dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal as provided under service regulations. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
