THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.35836 OF 2016 ORDER:
The writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner's representation, dated 14.10.2016 as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner.
Heard and perused the material.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner, while serving in Air Force Service, died in road accident and that he was insured with Reliance General Insurance Company Limited. He further submits that the petitioner made a representation to the respondents for release of the insurance amount to her, but the respondents have not disposed of the representation of the petitioner. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.10.2016, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any shall also stand disposed of. _____________________ JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO 24.10.2016 pln
