Heard the learned counsel for petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies for respondents 1 to 3. 2.

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the respondents in issuing notification on 20.01.2015 for appointment of fair price shop dealers on permanent basis only in favour of Scheduled Caste persons.

The learned Government Pleader, on the basis of written instructions, submits that the notification was issued as per the guidelines issued under clause No.7 of G.O.Ms.No.4 dated 19.02.2011. Revenue division was taken as a unit and reservation was provided accordingly. Since a shortfall was noticed in respect of SC, ST, PHC and BC categories and a shortfall of 45 under women quota, the applications under Scheduled Caste category were called for. Respondents 4 and 5 secured highest marks in the written test and in the interview and thus they were appointed as fair price shop dealers of Gummaiahgaripalli Village and Gorantla Village respectively on permanent basis, by order dated 20.01.2015.

4. In view of the said statement made by the learned Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed and is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
