2018-12-14T.Amarnath Goud2 pages

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.AMARNATH GOUD W.P.NO.15791 OF 2011 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in not issuing gun licence to the petitioner on the ground that an objection was made by a known rowdy sheeter as illegal, arbitrary and violative of the principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents to issue gun licence to him as recommended by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. 2.

Heard.

3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has brought to the notice of the respondents that he is having life threat due to the civil disputes with others, they did not consider his request for renewal of his gun licence.

4.

On instructions, the Assistant Government Pleader for Home (Telangana), submits that the request of the petitioner for renewal of the gun licence was rejected by the Government vide Memo No.2483/ARMS/2008, dated 14.07.2011, basing on the report submitted by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, wherein it was stated that the petitioner is involved in five criminal cases in the limits of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates and that there is every likelihood that the petitioner may misuse the weapon to take revenge on his rivals if Arms Licence is renewed. 5.

In that view of the matter, I see no grounds to interfere in the matter and the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. As

sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
