THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.16866 OF 2017 ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue writ, order or direction especially one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the seizure of the petitioner's vehicle bearing No.TS 08 UA 2435 vide vehicle check report No.098121 dated 29.04.2017 is illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 19 (1)(g) of the Constitution of India and further declare the action of the 2nd respondent in not releasing the same by collecting overload penalty as per the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act is also illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to release the petitioner vehicle and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."

When the matter is called, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that in view of the interim order, dated 11.05.2017, passed by this Court, the cause in this writ petition does not survive and hence, no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition.

Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. 4.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
