K.Monica Silpa v. State Of Andhra Pradesh, Rep. By Its Principal Secretary,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.27005 of 2016 ORDER:
Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner had participated in the State Sailing Championship Competition and other Competitions conducted by respondents 4 to 7 and had applied for admission into MBBS/BDS Course to the 6th respondent - University. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the action of the 3rd respondent in sending her sports certificates for verification to the 7th respondent instead of respondents 4 and 5.
3. Sri M.V.S. Prasad, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent, states that the petitioner's certificates have been sent to the 5th respondent by the 3rd respondent for verification and not to the 7th respondent as contended by the petitioner. He further submits that the 5th respondent has confirmed the genuineness of the sports certificates submitted by the petitioner. Therefore, these facts are placed on record.
4. Hence, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 6th respondent - University to process the petitioner's application under Sports Quota for admission into MBBS/BDS Course as per her eligibility. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand dismissed.
