HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.4754 OF 2017 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is with regards nonconsideration of his application for grant of bar licence, whereas the applications of respondent Nos. 5 to 7 were forwarded and recommended to respondent No.2 (Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise) for grant of bar licence.

Learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise has brought to the notice of this Court that, this Court, in W.P.No.3601 of 2017 dated 07.02.2017, had directed that a fresh notification be issued State-wide calling for applications for issuance of bar licence in relation to Madira Town, Khammam District.

In that view of the matter, the present Writ Petition is premature and is, accordingly, closed. It is open for the petitioner to apply, as and when notification is issued, for grant of bar licence in relation to Madira Town, Khammam District.

Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
