HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR W.P.No.4397 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard.

Alleging inaction on the part of the respondent police in conducting investigation in Cr.No.291 of 2014, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC and Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, and also disposing of the application of the petitioner, dated 20-02-2015, seeking police protection, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. Learned Government Pleader has received instructions from the 4th respondent, wherein it is stated that Cr.No.291 of 2014 was registered and took up investigation and after completion of investigation, charge-sheet was also filed on 02-03-2015 before the XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, against A1 to A4. A memo was also filed for deletion of the names of A5 and A6 from the list of accused.

The charge-sheet is yet to be taken on file by the said Court. It is also stated that another case in Cr.No.21 of 2015 is also registered for the offence punishable under Section 66 (C) of IT Act on the file of Cyber Crimes, Central Crime Station, Hyderabad, and the same is under investigation.

So far as the petitioner's 1st relief with regard to investigation in Cr.No.291 of 2015 is concerned, as the investigation is completed and charge-sheet is filed on 02-03-2015 before the XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, no direction with regard to the said relief is called for.

So far as the petitioner's 2nd relief with regard to disposing of her application, dated 20-02-2015, seeking police protection is concerned, the 9th respondent is directed to look into the said request

and take appropriate decision expeditiously in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
