Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Energy appearing for the 1st respondent and Sri R. Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for TSSPDCL appearing for the 2nd respondent.

Petitioner claimed that he was eligible for promotion as Superintending Engineer in the year 2017, but was ignored on the ground of pending disciplinary proceedings. After the orders of the Government in G.O.Rt.No.59, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (VIG II (1)) Department, dated 29.01.2018, petitioner made representation on 28.03.2018 to consider his case for promotion. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.

Since petitioner has already submitted representation dated 28.03.2018 ventilating his grievance for promotion and the same is stated to be pending, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Chairman and Managing Director, TSSPDCL, the 2nd respondent, to consider the claim of the petitioner as ventilated in his representation dated 28.03.2018 and take appropriate decision as warranted by law and communicate the decision to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
