The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of the purported review petition filed by respondent Nos.3 and 4 against orders in R.C.No.Admin.I.B1/ 663/ 2006, dated 29.09.2006, with a direction to consider petitioner's claim for unpaid salary for the period 24.06.2006 to 05.12.2007, together with earned leave and other dues to him.

It is to be noted that on 25.04.2017, time was granted by this Court to find out as to whether respondent No.3 has filed any review application, as stated by him, and if so whether the same is still pending consideration. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader would submit that the verification made by the officials disclosed filing of review petition and the same is still pending consideration. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as the review was filed long back, nothing prevented the respondents to inform him about the same and that so far he has not received any such notice. 5.

Having regard to the above, if the review filed by the third respondent is still pending before the second respondent, as claimed by respondent No.3, the respondent-authorities shall give notice to the parties before hearing the review petition and dispose of the same, within a period of six (06) weeks from today. It is made clear that if no review is pending before the authorities, the second respondent shall as well inform about the same to the petitioner about the non- pendency of the review petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
