HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY W.P. No. 6099 OF 2003 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release the salary grant to the employees of the respective gram panchayats as was done till 01.04.2002 and continue to release the salary grant to the gram panchayats by setting aside the proceedings of the District Panchayat Officer vide proceedings No.2481/2000/A3/A5, dated 28.03.2003. 2.

While admitting the writ petition, on 08.04.2003, this Court passed interim order in W.P.M.P.No.7987 of 2003, as follows: "Prima facie, the employees of Gram Panchayat are to be paid salaries from out of the salary grants released by the Government from time to time and the funds of the Gram Panchayat cannot be used for payment of the salaries to the employees. The impugned proceedings do not state any basis for directing the payment of salaries to the employees from out of the Gram Panchayat funds, that too, on selective basis. In that view of the matter, there shall be interim direction to the respondents to release the salary grants, as was done earlier. Notice."

3. Learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj submits that in view of the interim orders passed by this Court on 08.04.2003, wherein the respondents were directed to release the salary grants as was done earlier, no further orders are need to be passed in this case. Inasmuch as the interim order passed by this Court has worked out, the writ petition is disposed of making the interim order as final order. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand dismissed.
