HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C.PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 29854 of 2011 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for the respondents. With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents 1 and 2 in considering the application of petitioners dated 25.08.2011 for assignment of land admeasuring Ac.1.75 cents in Survey Number 360 of Kolalapudi Revenue village, Martur Mandal, Prakasam District and also insisting the petitioners to vacate the land as illegal, irregular and violative of provisions of Revenue Board Standing Order 15 and Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to grant assignment of the said land in favour of the petitioners.

Though various grounds are urged in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the application dated 25.08.2011 at the earliest. The said aspect is not

seriously contested by the learned Government Pleader. Having regard to the above circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 25.08.2011, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, in accordance with law, if the same is still pending.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
