Heard. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The first petitioner was appointed as conductor in the year 1986. The first petitioner claims that in the year 2009 he was affected with Paralysis and was bed ridden for long time. He was declared as medically unfit to perform his duties. After he was declared as medically unfit, first petitioner filed application seeking voluntary retirement on medical grounds. Considering his request, by proceedings dated 18.11.2009, first petitioner was retired from service with effect from 18.11.2009. After the order of retirement, petitioners submitted application to provide suitable employment to the 2nd petitioner herein who is the son of first petitioner. So far no orders are passed. Petitioners seek direction to consider their representation dated 19.10.2016 and to pass orders within the time frame.

Since a representation was already submitted and the same is yet to be disposed of, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners and to pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
