THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No. 17883 of 2009 ORDER:

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to declare the action of the first respondent in not extending affiliation, for the academic year 2009-10, enabling the petitioner college to be included in the process of counselling for admission into B.Ed course, as arbitrary and illegal.

By order in W.P.M.P.No.23439 of 2009 dated 26.08.2009, this Court granted interim suspension of the impugned order. The relief sought for in W.P.M.P.No.23439 of 2009 was to direct the A.P. State Council of Higher Education to include the petitioner college in the counseling scheduled to be held on 27.08.2009 for admissions into B.Ed course.

As the petitioner had sought to be included in the counseling process for the year 2009-10, and the said period expired more than seven years ago, the cause in the writ petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The writ petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly, dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________________________ (RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ) Date: 07.07.2017 va
