ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "......to issue an writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondents to dispose of appeal pending with the 1st respondent dated 05.08.2019 and pass such other order deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri N.Srikanth Goud, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioner that initially he was appointed as Assistant Public Relations Officer in the year 1996 and he was allotted to Zone-IV which was earlier forming part of composite State of Andhra Pradesh. On bifurcation of State of A.P, he was allotted to Telangana State and he is working as Assistant Director. At the time of bifurcation of the State, he was placed at serial No.16 in seniority list and he was fully eligible and qualified to be promoted to the post of Deputy Director. But the respondents have not considered the case of the petitioner for promotion. When the respondents have rejected the case of the petitioner for promotion to the

post of Deputy Director, he preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 05.08.2019. But so far no orders have been passed thereon. Hence, the present writ petition. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 05.08.2019.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the 1st respondent would consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 05.08.2019 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
