It is represented by both the counsel that the relief sought by the petitioners cannot be entertained under Article 226 of the Constitution of India and the petitioners have an efficacious alternative remedy.

In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed, giving liberty to the petitioners to avail appropriate legal remedies. No order as to costs. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
