In the instant case, the 4th respondent has been awarded the contract of maintenance Services at E.S.I.Diagnostic Centre, Adoni for a period of one year. Later it was extended by two years. The present writ petition is filed in the year 2011. By this time, the period of contract is already over. As such, the cause in the writ petition no longer survives for adjudication and the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Any interim order granted earlier shall stand vacated. There shall be no order as to costs.
