HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.40082 of 2016 ORDER:

Aggrieved by the auction notice issued by the 5th respondent herein in respect of the lands of Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple, M. Nadamanur, Tangutur Mandal, Prakasam District, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

It is the case of the petitioner that the village, where the lands in question are situated, was declared as drought affected area and once the said area was declared as such, the lands in question cannot be put to auction for a period of one year.

When this matter has come up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the 5th respondent and the learned Government Pleader for Endowments submitted that the Collector has already instructed not to auction the lands in question in view of the notification issued declaring the village, where the lands in question are situated, as doubt affected area. 4.

Considering the above submission, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. 5.
