Hafiz Gulam Ahmed Qureshi Naqshbandi v. State Of Telangana,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT W.P. No.19299 of 2018 ORDER:
Heard Mr.J.Prabhakar for petitioner and no representation for respondent No.2.
The petitioner aggrieved by conferring exclusive privilege on Imam chosen by Wakf Board to recite Quran on 'Sae Shave Shabeena' on 26, 27 and 28 Ramazan and one Rakat complete Quran on 29 Ramazaan at Mecca Masjid filed the instant writ petition.
The petitioner refers to custom either prevailed or accepted by congregation allowing recitation of Quran by a person well versed with Quran. This time, with the decision taken by the Wakf Board, the petitioner is denied of the opportunity to recite Quran on any of the days referred to above.
On 15.05.2018, a request was made by petitioner to grant permission to participation of recitation of Quran. Now, further grievance is that the 2nd respondent did not dispose of the representation and allowing the uncertainity to continue.
I have perused the record and taken note of the limited prayer of the petitioner to recite Quran on any one of the days referred to above.
It is in the fitness of things and not to deny the opportunity to petitioner, the Court considers it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to examine the representation of petitioner and pass orders in accordance with practice prevailed and followed at Mecca Masjid on or before 13.06.2018 and communicate the same to petitioner either by hand or by e-mail.
The petitioner is given liberty to submit copy of this order along with a memo giving details of address for communication.
Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
