Vide present, the petitioner seeks a direction to the Station House officer, PS Mallapur, Karimnagar District, to release the petitioner on bail, in the event of his arrest in connection with Cr.No.102 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 409, 468 and 471 of IPC. The case against the petitioner is that the petitioner has misappropriated the funds of the Gram Panchayat. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the State. Keeping in view the serious allegations against the petitioner that he misappropriated the amount to a tune of Rs.3.5 lakhs, being the Secretary, I find no merits in the petition, as the investigation is pending and the custody of the petitioner is required by the police for interrogation.
