Sri Shiridi Sai Communications, Rep. By Its v. The Legal Services Authority, Rep. By Its Chairman,
THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA Writ Petition No.942 of 2007 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Sri P.Prabhakara Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the proceedings under challenge in this writ petition is an award passed by the 1st respondent in P.L.C.No.51 of 2006 dated 23.12.2006 to which the petitioner was not a party.
As an award of a Lok Adalat binds only the parties thereto, and the petitioner claims not to be a party to such proceedings, the award would evidently not bind them.
The Writ Petition is wholly misconceived and is, accordingly, dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________________________ (RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ) _____________________________ (A.SHANKAR NARAYANA, J) 02nd November 2016 JSU
