Mr. V. Laxman, v. Mandal Revenue Officer,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO Writ Petition No.20738 of 2005 ORDER:
Heard Sri R.Raghunandan, learned counsel for petitioners and Sri Md.Mohinuddin, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue (TS).
2) The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents with regard to the applications of the petitioners 1 to 3 made on 07.10.2002, 15.01.2002 and 11.06.2003 seeking permission to purchase the lands in their possession in SurveyNo.782 of Devaramjal Village, Shamirpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District as arbitrary, illegal and for a suitable direction to the respondents.
3) Petitioners' case is that earlier they filed W.P.No.4937 of 2004 with similar prayer as that of present one and this Court in its order dated 17.03.2004 directed the 2nd respondent therein-Collector, R.R.District to consider and dispose of their applications in accordance with law expeditiously and thereafter the Collector, R.R.District has addressed a letter in Lr.No.Lc3/15844/83 dt.30.04.2005 to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad requesting him to pass necessary orders in the matter for taking further action. The grievance of the petitioners is that since then no action is taken at the end of Chief Commissioner who is the 4th respondent in the instant writ petition.
4) When the matter came up for hearing today, learned Assistant Government Pleader would represent that he had no further instructions with regard to what transpired subsequent to the letter dated 30.04.2015 addressed by the Collector, R.R.District to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
5) In these circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents particularly the 4th respondent to consider the request of the writ petitioners as narrated in the letter dated 30.04.2005 of Collector, R.R.District -2nd respondent and pass necessary orders in accordance with law expeditiously within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
