This Writ Petition is filed, challenging the order of suspension No.P2/ 209(1)/ 2018-NRPT, dated 07.05.2018 of the 3rd respondent. On the same day petitioner is also served Charge Memo, containing two allegations; (1) that the petitioner was found in Alcoholic condition and

(2) that the petitioner absconded from the bus at Mahaboobnagar Bus Station, without intimation to the Service Conductor. 2.

It is not disputed that the Depot Manager is the Disciplinary Authority and is competent to place the petitioner under suspension. Since, it is not alleged that there was no application of mind in placing the petitioner under suspension, mere delay of 20 days in placing the petitioner under suspension, cannot be a ground to hold the order of suspension as bad in law.

However, since the charge sheet is already served and the petitioner has also filed his explanation, the disciplinary authority is directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings and pass appropriate orders as per rules, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.

Accordingly the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
