HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.25426 of 2007 ORDER:

No representation on behalf of the petitioner though the matter is posted under the caption "for dismissal", hence heard Government Pleader for Revenue.

Assailing the order of cancellation of Pawn Broker Licence granted to the petitioner for the year 2007-2008 by the second respondent vide proceedings No.C/4760/2007, dated 07.11.2007, the present writ petition came to be filed.

A perusal of the impugned proceedings would show that on 07.11.2007, the second respondent passed an order under Section 20 (1) (a) of the Andhra Pradesh Pawn Brokers Act, 2002 cancelling the licence granted to the petitioner for the year 2007-2008. On 29.11.2007, this Court while admitting the writ petition stayed the impugned proceedings.

Having regard to the fact that the writ petition is filed questioning the cancellation of Pawn Brokers Licence granted to the petitioner for the year 2007-2008 only, nothing survives for adjudication at this point of time, more so, when there is an interim order. In view of the above, no orders need to be passed. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed.

There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. ___________________ C. PRAVEEN KUMAR, J 24.11.2015
