CVNR, J & GSP, J WP.No.19448 of 2018 Dt: 13.06.2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This Writ Petition is filed for issue of a Habeas Corpus declaring the action of respondent No.3 in detaining the petitioner's friend by name Mohammed Abdul Zubair, S/o. Mohammed Quadeer (for short "the alleged detenu") as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to direct the respondents to forthwith produce the alleged detenu before the Court and set him free.

At the hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home representing the learned Advocate-General (T.S.), on instructions, submitted that as the alleged detenu is an accused in Crime No.178/2018 of Abdullapur Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 364 and 120-B IPC r/w. Section 34 IPC, he was arrested by respondent No.3- Police and produced before the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, Hayathnagar, Ranga Reddy District, who, in turn, remanded him to the judicial custody. In the light of the above submission of the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication and the Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of as infructuous.
