Nekkalapu Naga Siromani v. State Of Andhra Pradesh,
SMT JUSTI CE T. RAJANI CRI MI NAL PETI TI ON No.6 7 2 6 of 2 0 1 1 ORDER:
This petition is filed, seeking for quash of the proceedings against the petitioners, who are A2 to A6, in Crime No.21 of 2011 on the file of Chatrai Police Station, Krishna District. The offences alleged against the petitioners are under Sections 498A IPC.
2.
Heard the counsel for the petitioners and the Public Prosecutor, appearing for the 1st respondent. None appears for the 2nd respondent, in spite of notice.
3.
The counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners never resided with the complainant. But a perusal of the complaint shows that there are specific allegations mentioning the names of all the petitioners, that they went to the house of the complainant and pressurised her to sign on the divorce papers.
4.
Hence, in view of the above, it is not safe to quash the proceedings against the petitioners at this stage of the case. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
